Music and Flavour: Giuseppe Verdi’s Land

Itinerary

  • The morning is spent near Busseto. The place where Verdi was born and grew up. You will visit his birthplace Casa Natale di Giuseppe Verdi and also Casa Barezzi Museum and Rocca Pallavicino.
  • At Vecchio Mulino Pallavicino you will enjoy a traditional Italian meal with three courses. The lunch will of course features a selection of salumi (cured meat) that makes Parma famous all over Italy. Together with salumi of course fresh pasta will not go amiss.
  • To close the experience a guided tour of a Culatttello di Zibello PDO producer. Typical of the north area of Parma, Culatello is a ham extremely difficult to produce and one of Maestro Verdi’s passions.
